ECOLOGY GREEN COSTA RICA - PRODUCTS, BUSINESS and SERVICES
The world gives high fives to Costa Rica for its environmental awareness, considering that it is one of the first countries to promote ecology within its structure.
With said, everyday the environmental business investments in Costa Rica grows, mostly because eco-tourism is a large portion of the economy of Costa Rica. Some eco-businesses are for sale and others are seeking investment partners.
A visit to Costa Rica sometimes shows the reality. Deforestation and water contamination occurs at an alarming rate at times, and the country has major trash-disposal issues which is currently being dealt with. Other concerns are conservation practices like, the strong debate on Poaching of Sea Turtle eggs and open-pit gold mine protest that took place on International Earth Day.
Still many focus on the environment and do their best to make sure Costa Rica is #1 in eco-awareness by practicing what they preach, which many of eco hotels, lodges and resorts do.
